Norfolk County Council appointed Aspect Group Services to install electric vehicle charging stations at Victory Swim and Fitness Centre in North Walsham, enhancing EV accessibility in Norfolk. The project was carefully planned to minimise disruption to staff and visitors, with all civil engineering, electrical installation, and handover managed by Aspect. Protective wheel stops and bollards were added for equipment safety.
Two dual-socket EV charge points allow up to four vehicles to charge at once, featuring contactless payment terminals and OCPP compatibility with the Council’s platform. Testing and commissioning ensured reliable operation.
The leisure centre remained open throughout, with logistics focused on safety and uninterrupted power. Any necessary power outages were scheduled outside operating hours. Collaboration with management enabled smooth sequencing and communication.
The finished installation offers flexible, future-ready EV charging for staff, visitors, and the community, supporting Norfolk’s broader EV infrastructure strategy. Aspect Group Services delivered the project efficiently and safely, demonstrating expertise in complex public installations.
